Research interests
Scientific collaborations
My research aims at better understanding the interactions between the physical and chemical processes controlling the rheology of the crustal rocks along fossil plate interfaces in convergent systems, with a particular emphasis on subduction dynamics.
My research combines structural fieldwork in various locations (New Caledonia, Oman, UAE, Canada, Turkey, Nepal, Pakistan, Norway, Austria) and experimental deformation using a Griggs-type solid-medium apparatus. It links detailed petrology, thermodynamic modelling, trace element geochemistry, geochronology with micro-structural and mechanical data. I therefore have strong experience with geochemical measurements and laboratory work (SEM, EBSD, EPMA, Raman, ICP-MS and LA-ICP-MS).
Since 2016, this work has resulted in the publication of 18 articles, with 2 additional manuscripts under review, in international high impact journals.
